Disney's Advanced Dining Reservations
Disney's Advanced Dining Reservations
Select restaurants at Disney World Theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs accept Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs).
These full-service restaurants are usually referred to as "Table-Service" restaurants.
These include restaurants and dining experiences that are in high demand such as character meals, dinner shows and highly sought-after restaurants.
Due to the popularity of many of the Table-Service restaurants it is strongly suggested that you make advanced dining reservations as they book up fast and walk-in seating may not be available.
How to Make Advanced Dining Reservations
All guests (even those staying off-site) can begin making advanced dining reservations starting at 6 a.m. Eastern time 180 days out.
Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel (on-site) get an extended booking window for making dining reservations. Starting 180 days in advance of your arrival date, you can book dining reservations for the entire length of your resort stay- up to 10 days (180+10).
Guests not staying at a Disney Resort hotel (off-site) can also make advanced dining reservations 180 days out. As each day of your trip hits its 180 mark you will be able to make dining reservations for that day (one day at a time verses on-site guests who can book 180+ 10 days in advance at the 180 day mark).
Advanced dining reservations can be made online in your My Disney Experience account or on the My Disney Experience mobile app.
Disney Dining
Disney offers two styles of dining, "Table- Service" and "Quick-Service".
Table-Service
Table-Service restaurants are Disney's full service restaurants. These restaurants accept advanced dining reservations. Same day reservations and walk-in seating may be available at some Table-Service restaurants, however dining reservations are strongly suggested as many do book up.
Table- Service Restaurants Include:
-
Character Dining- Dine with Disney characters and have the opportunity to get photos and autographs.
-
Unique/Themed Dining- Disney has some fun themed dining locations such as, 50's Prime Time, where you can dine in a retro themed house, Coral Reef which features a full wall aquarium with amazing views of sharks and other sea life. Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, dine in car-shaped booths and watch old movie clips in this restaurant set like a drive-in movie.
-
Dinner Shows- Hoop Dee Doo Revue, Spirit of Aloha Luau and Mickey's Backyard BBQ, these restaurants include fun Disney entertainment to accompany your meal.
-
Fine/Signature Dining- Disney also has a selection of fine dining restaurants such as California Grill, Victoria and Albert's and Le Cellier Steakhouse to name a few.
If you plan on dining at any of the character dining, unique/themed dining, dinner shows or fine/signature dining advanced reservations should be made as close to the 180 day mark as possible. Even at the 180 day mark certain restaurants may book up.
Quick-Service
Quick-Service restaurants are Disney's counter service dining options. These dining locations do not take reservations. These locations are more casual, just order at the register, grab your food and find a seat.
Mobile Ordering
Disney now offers Mobile ordering at select Quick-Service restaurant locations. Using the My Disney Experience app guests can order and prepay for food from their mobile device. When the food is ready you will be able to skip the line and get your food.
-
This feature is a great time saver. The Quick-Service lines get very long during lunch and dinner rush. With this feature you can let the restaurant know when you arrive and they will start preparing your meal and send you a notification when it is ready. Find out more about mobile ordering here.
Dining Reservation Cancellation Policy
Do not forget to follow Disney's cancellation policy regarding their dining reservations. Disney does charge a no-show fee. If your plans change make sure to cancel any dining reservations you do not plan on attending. Disney's dining reservation cancellation policy can be seen here.
