Disney PhotoPass

What is Disney PhotoPass?

Disney PhotoPass is the name of the overall photo service used at Disney World. It is a complimentary service that includes ride photos as well as photos taken by a Disney PhotoPass photographer.

PhotoPass Photographers

  • Disney PhotoPass photographers are available at select locations throughout the parks and at select character meet-n-greets.

  • The photographers will take your photo (free of charge) and scan your MagicBand to link your photos to your My Disney Experience account. If you do not have a MagicBand you will be given a PhotoPass card with a code that you can enter at www.disneyphotopass.com to view your photos.

  • Some PhotoPass locations also offer Magic Shots. Magic Shots are are Disney's way of adding a little extra magic to your photo such as Mickey Mouse sitting beside you or Tinkerbell standing in your hand.

  • PhotoPass photographers will also take the photos for you with your own camera or phone free of charge.

Ride Photos

  • Select rides throughout the parks take ride photos.

  • If wearing a MagicBand that is linked to your My Disney Experience account the ride photo should automatically get connected to your account. Just to be sure it gets connected or if using a card instead of a MagicBand scan your card or band at the attractions sales center or ride photo screen after exiting the ride.

  • Ride photos must be purchased in the park or you need to have Memory Maker to get them (they cannot be downloaded and purchased individually).

Paying for Photos

  • Disney offers the photography of the photos for free but downloading or having the photos printed is a paid service.

  • PhotoPass pictures can be purchased individually (except ride photos which must be purchased in the park) or you can purchase Memory Maker.

  • Memory Maker is a package that allows you to download ALL of your photos (ride, Magic Shots etc.) for one set price no matter how many you have.

Using PhotoPass can be a great way for you to capture some of those magical Disney memories.

Hints

  • Currently Memory Maker is $199 if you purchase it more than 3 days in advance of your trip you can get it for the discounted rate of $169.

  • Memory Maker One Day is also available for $69. It allows you to purchase all of the photos from 1 of your days in the park.

  • Make sure to scan your MagicBand after the rides at the ride photo screen. The RFID technology should automatically link your ride photo to your My Disney Experience account but it does not always work.
