As early as April 18th, Disney has announced they will start to reintroduce traditional, non-distanced character meet and greets. Soon guest will be able to once again get hugs and autographs with their favorite characters and interact with them in the traditional way they did pre pandemic.
The change will not happen over night. As early as April 18, they will start reintroducing traditional character greetings at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts, as well as aboard Disney Cruise Line. According to Disney, "While not all locations will be available immediately, we anticipate reopening in phases throughout the spring and early summer". That means that once again you will be able to hug Mickey Mouse, get an autograph from Mulan, and share a laugh with Goofy.
