Disney is introducing their new Genie Service which will include Genie+ and Individual attraction selection.
Disney Genie Service is coming to Walt Disney World Resort this fall. The new complimentary digital service will be built into the existing My Disney Experience App. The Genie Service will help guests plan their day and includes a personalized itinerary feature that will map out a guests entire day. The personalized itinerary feature will recommend attractions, entertainment, and dining options based on individualized preferences. While the Disney Genie Service is free there are two paid upgrades which will replace the FastPass system, Genie+ and Individual attraction selection. Watch an overview of the service below:
The Genie Service itself is essentially a free online planning tool available for all quests. Within the Genie Service guests will have the option to purchase what use to be FastPasses or a way to skip the standby line. The two options guest can purchase are Genie+ and Individual attraction selections. Both of the paid upgrades will allow access to the attractions through the Lightning Lane entrance (the old FastPass lane).
Genie+ :
The cost of Genie+ is $15 dollars per ticket per day at Walt Disney World and allows you to choose the next available time to arrive at a variety of attractions and experiences using the Lightning Lane entrance. You can make one selection at a time, throughout the day – from classics like Haunted Mansion to thrill rides like Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and newer favorites like Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run (attractions subject to limited availability). Disney Genie+ will also include Disney parks-themed audio experiences and photo features to capture your memories – augmented reality lenses for those visiting Walt Disney World Resort.
Individual attraction selections:
Schedule a time to arrive at up to two highly demanded attractions each day using the Lightning Lane entrance – like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park (subject to limited availability; attractions not included with Disney Genie+). Pricing for this option will vary by date, attraction and park and will be announced closer to launch.
Lightning Lane selections (Genie+ and Individual attraction selections) will be made on the same day of your visit and can be used across multiple theme parks, great for those who love the Park Hopper option. Attractions continue to offer a traditional standby queue, or a virtual queue at certain attractions like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance – to maximize flexibility.
