Disney will be releasing new MagicBands known as MagicBand+ as part of their 50th Anniversary celebration. The new MagicBands will have all of the same functionality as the original MagicBands in addition to some new fun and interactive features! The new bands will be released July 27th at Walt Disney World Resort.
The new MagicBand+ will be debuting in more than 25 unique designs. All guests can buy MagicBand+ at select stores across Walt Disney World and online at shopDisney, starting at $34.99. Disney Resort hotel guests may purchase MagicBand+ online at special prices before their arrival (no word yet on what the discounted price will be).
New Features:
Become a Bounty Hunter- Guests will be able to use the band to pretend to be a bounty hunter in Galaxy's Edge (located in Hollywood Studios) and track down and find virtual bounties.
Interact with the Gold Character Statues around all 4 Disney World parks.
Sync Up With Fireworks Shows- At night the band will light up and interact with nighttime spectaculars, including the new 50th Anniversary celebration shows—Harmonious at EPCOT and Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom Park.

Charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room (only available during your hotel stay).
